Community
outreach is a vital part of our Parish program. Through it we
respond to our community's needs as they arise, such as providing
food for those in need, school supplies and tutoring at local
schools. Tutors are especially needed at this time.
The
Fall Fair is the primary fundraising
event for both the Parish and for the Outreach Committee, which
organizes it. Money from this and other sources is spent on Outreach
projects in the community. Kingston Parish has a large contingent
delivering Meals on Wheels in the county. We have several people who
tutor students at Lee-Jackson Elementary School, and the Committee
has sponsored a blood drive.
Through
the Kingston Parish Outreach Program, funds are donated to many
deserving charitable organizations in Mathews County and the
surrounding area.
