THE ALPHA COURSE

Looking for answers? The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.

What is the point of life? ... What happens when we die? ... What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today? ... How do we deal with guilt? ... We all have questions. Find out why so many have found Alpha to be the best opportunity they have ever had to ask these questions.

The Alpha Course is a fifteen session program which runs over ten weeks to provide a practical introduction to the Christian faith. Experience shows that people come from many different backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints - but all come with the same objective: to establish whether Jesus Christ has any real relevance for their lives.

ALPHA is a great way to meet new friends while exploring the meaning of life.

ALPHA AT KINGSTON PARISH

Starting Monday, January 13, 2003, Tom & Debi Flounders will be hosting the next Kingston Parish ALPHA Course and you are invited to join them. ALPHA at Kingston Parish runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Monday night for eleven weeks concluding on March 24th. We have a great time that begins with a good home cooked meal. Then we tell a few jokes and stories or maybe sing a hymn before watching a video by Nicky Gumble from Holy Trinity Brompton Church in London. Afterwards we break up into small discussion groups to talk about the subject matter. It is a relaxed atmosphere where no one is put on the spot. We meet at the Parish Hall, childcare is provided, and the kids get a meal too.

Each year we get very positive feedback from participants. Anyone who wants to learn more about the Christian faith is welcome and you are encouraged to bring a friend. The course is non-denominational so you do not have to be an Episcopalian to join us.

If you have questions or want to know more about ALPHA call Tom or Debi Flounders at (804) 725-4455, and they will be happy to tell you about the program. You can register by calling Karen Jones at the Kingston Parish offices at (804) 725-2175. Mark your calendar and plan to come join us.
